Emergency
If you seek any urgent medical care or treatment, our emergency units are accessible 24 hours a day. A group of highly trained physicians and other healthcare professionals are available on site to deal with any emergency, illness, or injury. You will be examined and treated or referred to the appropriate department. Our emergency department is equipped with all the facilities needed for investigation and linked with the laboratory and radiology departments for further analysis and examination, if required.
Medical laboratory department:
The laboratory department in our hospital works to provide a 24-hour, high-quality laboratory services to the indoor and outdoor patients. The laboratory department is divided into different sections, each section is managed by a highly qualified doctors, chemists, and technicians. Reception: This section is responsible for all the paper-based and computer-based data and records. It’s is also concerned with registering patients, collecting or receiving different samples and specimens and their distribution to the assigned section. Chemistry: This department is equipped with fully automated analyzers for the detection of electrolytes. A distinct biochemistry area is available to assess kidney function tests, liver function tests, blood sugar electrolytes, amylases, etc…. It’s also responsible for protein electrophoresis, glycosylated hemoglobin, Rheumatology (IF), tissue typing, and various other specialized biochemical tests. A wide test menu for tumor markers, hormones and vitamins is also provided by the immunoassay. Hematology: includes testing blood for conditions such as anemia, leukemia, coagulation testing, blood parasites like malaria, and blood loss (low hemoglobin) from trauma. Microbiology: For the isolation, identification, and sensitivity determination of microorganisms in different body fluids and tissues. Blood cultures and bone marrow are also done on automated sensitive machines. Techniques in this section also help to choose the specific antibiotic for the different infections. A diversity of antigen detection tests providing rapid diagnosis procedure such as cryptoccocal antigen and bacterial antigen in CSF Stool concentration techniques help to identify some parasites such as cryptosporidium isospora belli, blood smear etc. An immunology section is attached to preform immunological investigations such as CD4 counts, Hepatitis B, C and HIV testing. Histopathology: For histological examination of tissues, frozen section consultations cytology, fine needle aspiration using routine techniques, special, immunological and immunohistochemistry procedures.
Radiology department:
The Department of Diagnostic Radiology and Imaging works in a continuous manner to provide quick and efficient diagnosis of the submitted cases. The department is equipped with up to date equipment according to the latest technologies. The available techniques include: Plain x-ray, contrast study, panorama, ultrasonography, mammography, Doppler and computed tomography (CT).
Neonatal intensive care unit (NICU):
Our NICU is ready to offer a lot of special care for your newborn baby if he suffers preterm birth, a difficult birth or birth defects that make his transition outside the womb troublesome. The NICU in our hospital is supplied with advanced life-support technologies and trained healthcare professionals to give special care for our tiniest patients preparing them to face a challenging life.
Pediatric intensive care unit (PICU):
Pediatric intensive care unit (PICU): Our hospital is supplied with a specific multidisciplinary intensive care department for the pediatrics. It provides an intensive care for infants, children and adolescents who are suffering from severe breathing problems, poisoning, drug overdose, serious infections, certain heart conditions, some complications of diabetes, serious accidents or following major surgeries. Our PICU is equipped with the latest technology and the different healthcare providers working in the PICU have the required knowledge and skills to quickly assess and treat your child with the best possible outcomes. Our 24 hours ready team aims to improve the pediatrics survival rate, speeds their recovery, and relieves their suffering in a caring respectful manner
General intensive care unit (ICU):
Our general intensive care unit (ICU) provides Comprehensive care to critically ill patients of different etiology, adopting high standard of performance to assure patient safety and quality of care. We welcome all the patients who have just had major or specialised surgery, or people who have come into hospital in an emergency with respiratory failure, major trauma, renal problems, sepsis or post cardiac arrest. we have a large team to care for our patients including physiotherapists, dietitians, consultants, pharmacists, nurses, and administrative staff. We also work closely with specialist colleagues in other departments to make sure they receive the most appropriate care. We offer excellent training programs for our staff, including continuing education in changing techniques and new healthcare developments. We aim to get you well and stable enough to move to a less intensive care environment, such as a high dependency unit or a hospital ward.
Surgical intensive care unit (SICU):
Our surgical intensive care unit is a highly specialized unit for complex surgeries or those recovering from highly critical surgeries. Our team include a group of highly skillful surgeons, anesthesiologists, critical care nurses, respiratory therapists and many other specialists. Patients who undergo complex surgeries, organ transplantation, neurosurgeries or mothers who give birth in a high-risk situation will be admitted to and monitored in our SICU. The Length of stay in the unit varies, depending on the complexity of the surgical procedure and the comorbidity and condition of the patient. After which, the patient will be discharged to the immediate care or general care department according to the stability of his case. Our SICU is equipped with the most advanced equipment and is totally supervised with a group of talented Egyptian professors to achieve the best survival outcomes of the surgeries.
Intermediate care unit:
The intermediate care unit in our hospital receives patients from the intensive care department, emergency department, surgical rooms to be examined and monitored before their transfer to their rooms. All of our patients will have continuous pulse-oximetry and telemetry monitoring. We also care for patients needing bi-pap support, patients with arterial lines, and/or central venous pressure monitoring. We have multi-disciplinary rounds each day on all patients and we are supported with 24-hour coverage by a physician's assistant assigned to the unit.
Operating theatres:
The construction of our hospital helps to maintain positive air pressure within our operating rooms to ensure the high quality and sterility of the air. The air circulation within the rooms allows the continuous supply of total fresh air. Nobody can enter the room without wearing special surgical clothes. All the used instruments are sterilized. The operations are totally monitored with highly specialized equipment and recorded for educational purposes. The Good ventilation and the lightening system of the rooms help to prevent any accidental error during the different operations. Our operating rooms are designed to accommodate a range of major surgical procedures including, general surgery, vascular surgery, pediatric surgery, Orthopedic surgery, plastic surgery, Neurosurgery, ENT surgery, ophthalmic surgery, spine surgery, and urological surgery. The hospital also has a specifically designed operating rooms to conduct various oncosurgeries, and a fully equipped portion for all obstetric cases.
The Pharmacy
Our hospital pharmacy works 24 hour, 7 days to supply the patients with the required medications immediately without any extra cost. The working pharmacists are well trained to detect any drug-drug interaction, medications-related symptoms, and contraindications. The pharmacists play crucial role in the process of customizing, preparing, and dispensing the appropriate medication regimens for the patients.
